Broken Promises:

  1. David Crisafulli promised there would be no cuts to health.

  2. David Crisafulli promised that energy prices would be lower under the LNP.

  3. David Crisafulli promised to deliver energy rebates to Queensland households.

  4. David Crisafulli promised there would be the $9 billion for the Bruce Highway to lift the safety standards in this budget, in full.

  5. David Crisafulli promised to always be available for questions.

  6. David Crisafulli promised there would be no new stadiums.

  7. David Crisafulli promised that heavy rail would be delivered all the way to Maroochydore by 2032 – no ifs, no buts, or shortcuts.

  8. David Crisafulli promised to deliver 2,200 new hospital beds by 2028.

  9. David Crisafulli promised to deliver 3,378 new hospital beds by 2031-32.

  10. David Crisafulli promised to continue funding for the Environmental Defenders Office.

  11. David Crisafulli promised his Ministers would have clear, measurable KPIs.

  12. And he promised to hold Ministers to account to those KPIs.

  13. David Crisafulli promised that debt would be lower under the LNP.

  14. David Crisafulli promised to govern with integrity.

  15. David Crisafulli promised to keep his Cabinet intact.

  16. David Crisafulli promised to appoint Ros Bates as the Health Minister.

  17. David Crisafulli promised to appoint Deb Frecklington as the Water Minister.

  18. David Crisafulli promised to have a dedicated Local Government Minister.

  19. David Crisafulli himself promised to be the Tourism Minister.

  20. David Crisafulli promised to keep the majority of Directors General.

  21. David Crisafulli promised that Directors General would have zero political links.

  22. David Crisafulli promised Queensland Government Consulting would save $757 million by June 30.

  23. David Crisafulli promised to release the terms of reference for the Independent Games Review before the election.

  24. And promised those terms of reference would rule out a new stadium.

  25. David Crisafulli promised Queenslanders would know who was on the GIICA board before the election.

  26. David Crisafulli promised to govern with openness and transparency.

  27. David Crisafulli promised to listen to the experts.

  28. David Crisafulli promised to treat First Nations People with respect.

  29. David Crisafulli promised Queenslanders that his word would mean something.

  30. David Crisafulli promised to listen to the health experts, and put doctors and nurses “back in charge”.

  31. David Crisafulli promised to re-establish the Mining Wardens Court.

David Crisafulli and the LNP were elected on the back of promises made to Queenslanders.


Promises he hasn’t even tried to keep.
