· David Crisafulli breaks promise not to cut health services
· LNP to cut 45 per cent of services provided at Gladstone Nurse-Led Clinic
· More cuts to Nurse-Led Clinics expected to be rolled out
Whistle blowers have revealed to Queensland Labor that David Crisafulli is going to cut the services at the Gladstone Nurse-Led Clinic by 45 per cent.
The clinic, which is expected to open any day now, is supposed to deliver much-needed medical assistance to the people from Gladstone from 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week.
Whistle blowers have revealed the LNP have instructed those expecting to work in the clinic that clinic will only operate from 8.30am to 5.30pm, 6 days a week.
This means instead of being able to use this service for 98 hours a week, the people of Gladstone will only be able to use the clinic for 54 hours.
This represents a 45 per cent cut to services, and another cut to health services under David Crisafulli and Tim Nicholls’. It follows pill testing services already being cut by the LNP.
Whistle blowers have also revealed the LNP is reviewing the services across all of Labor’s Nurse-Led Clinics, with similar cuts expected at Mt Gravatt, Brisbane and Gympie.
